There’s no better place to learn to surf than beautiful Newcastle! We offer lessons for beginners of all ages as well as intermediate to advanced surfers. Come ride the waves with us and master the skills to surf like a pro.
We are a mobile school and work with the tides and the surf conditions to get the best session we can on the day. Times will vary as often midtide works best for most spots for beginner surfers.
This surf lesson is great for ages 5yrs to Adults. Regardless of age, beginner surfers often need the same types of waves. It’s all about having fun and gaining confidence. Once you’ve done a few lessons we offer our intermediate sessions weekly from $40pp kids and $45pp adults. Subject to bookings on the day, minimum numbers can apply.

Our one-on-one lessons are focused on your technique, wave knowledge, fine-tuning your equipment, and information on our local beaches and how they work day to day. By appointment only and subject to bookings on the day.
Improve your technique and get further instruction on more advanced surfing, including wave and beach selection, improving your turns, choosing the right board and equipment, fitness, and stretching for surfing.

Learn skills for life, how the waves and local beaches work. Her Wave works to build a more inclusive and joyful female surf culture. Weekends and midweek subject to numbers. Available all year round with mobile locations. Main locations Stockton, Blacksmiths and Caves/Hams beaches, but we have licences for all Newcastle and Lake Mac council area beaches
Minimum numbers do apply so please call prior to booking online to make sure we have that session available.
Our coaches Asha, Arabella, Lucy and Meg will guide you through lots of surf knowledge, skills and share their passion for surfing wth you.
Ages 13yrs to adults. Our holiday 3 lesson or 8wk programs are for the 13-18yrs women who can use their active kids vouchers too. Call 0404839585 to enquire if no dates are available online, we can take a booking by phone.
Our Surf Skate programs are a great land training system for your surfing skills. Learn technique for your turns, speed generation and stance that you can practice often without waves.
