Group Surfing Lessons

This surf lesson is great for ages 5yrs to Adults. Regardless of age, beginner surfers often need the same types of waves. It’s all about having fun and gaining confidence. Once you’ve done a few lessons we offer our intermediate sessions weekly from $40pp kids and $45pp adults. Subject to bookings on the day, minimum numbers can apply.

About Us

Our surf school was established in 2004 as Redhead Mobile Surf School, offering  group sessions. In 2012, owner Miles Niddrie changed the name to Learn to Surf Newcastle to better reflect the school’s Newcastle-wide area of operation.

We are licensed with Surfing Australia, which oversees over 90 affiliated surf schools Australia-wide, and local council approved. We’re open all year-round, including winter. Our surf school was the first in Newcastle to offer lower coach-to-surfer ratios in 2004. Come learn how to ride the waves with us!
